If you thought the idea of Russian spy trawlers went out with the Cold War, think again. They may not pretend to be catching Cod anymore, but purpose ELINT (ELectronic INTelligence) collections ships are still out there, snooping around Western naval bases and exercises.

In this case the Black Sea Fleet’s Project 864 class AGIM intelligence vessel Priazove SSV201, part of the Sevastopol based 519th Detached Battalion Unit of ELINT Ships transited the Bosphorus towards Mediterranean, no doubt to watch the Western Navy's watching the Russian Navy off Syria and Libya.
