Almost certainly they won't be called after dead admirals.
That decision, made by the then Chief of Navy, did not go down too well. After all for every person recognised with a sub named after them, at least two equally deserving do not. Then there's the fact that the majority of them are named after senior officers.
One suggestion that the Sub fraternity really liked, was to name them after types of sharks found around Australian waters.
