Excellent 2018 released TV series "DAS boot" which picks up a fictional story 9 months after the conclusion of the film of the same name made back in 1981. This is on SBS - On demand - for streaming or alternatively on Wednesdays of SBS. Binged watched the whole 8 episodes on the weekend. Ripping fictional yarn.
