Port Macquarie Model Ship Expo, 2006 Photo Gallery

A little down on numbers probably due to the cost of petrol and the event being brought forward by three weeks , several die-hards and some of the local TF72 members made up for the lack of numbers with sheer boat size.   With a large area to spread out John Martin (now local) brought several of his behemoths along for the show.   John brought along his IJN YAMATO (Japanese Battleship), IJN TAKAO (Japanese Cruiser), IJN FUSO (Japanese Heavy Cruiser), HMS KING GEORGE V (British Battleship) and USS MISSOURI (US Battleship).   Also of considerable size was Tim Amos (also a local) brought along his nearly completed HMAS HOBART (WW2 Light Cruiser).   Along with Ron Rosenberg's fleet, the Allan Pew fleet and the Chas Baxter Fleet, a good turn out was achieved.   Thanks guys for making the pilgrimage to Port.

Allan Pew with his "Fleet".

Chas Baxter with his "Fleet" which is a little more unusual than most with many of them being sailing vessels such as 'Golden Hind" and "Endeavour".
