Moss Vale Run, March 2008 Photo Gallery

Many thanks to Shane Doyle for organising the autumn run on the 1st March.

Shane must have been owed some favours by the weather gods, what a magnificent day, a beautiful 20c, almost zero wind, and the sun shining and perfect for sailing.

Not having been up to Moss Vale for fair while I was surprised given the drought that the site had matured as much as it has, The lake now has a few just under legal size trout in it (where’s the silent service when you need them) and the weed level has dropped back to where it was when we first went up there a few years ago. The Southern Highlands Winery staff ran the tractor mower around the lakes edge to make things easier for us.

Sailing wise everyone had a ball in the near perfect conditions, with no collisions or mishaps, Ok well a couple of near misses.

Sorry there not many other photo subjects, not often I get some of my own ships, Shane’s DDG has a obvious attraction (article 2 will be in the next magazine issue editor willing). Carl’s new Russian Destroyer is while not fully complete yet a stunner on the water. Click on a photo to enlarge. [Back to Post Mission Reviews] - Report and photos from Phil Somerville
