Wagga Wagga Model Train and Hobby Expo 2006 Photo Gallery

As part of the Wagga Wagga hobby expo TF72 was asked to provide a display of some of their models.   Setting up alongside the many beautiful model train layouts and hobby suppliers, TF72 turned up with approximately 30 models.   To add a little variety, Russ French also brought along some of the display models built for Defence Models and Graphics clients.   A little warm at times, there was plenty to look at and plenty of like minded individuals to chat models too over the weekend.   A great weekend was had by all with many new friendships made and many old ones renewed.

Russ French's USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL got a lot attention because of the the up coming Air Warfare Destroyer project of which a derivative of her is being offered.

Some of Steve's fleet of minor ships and patrol boats.   Here displayed is an RAN Harbour Tub, ATTACK Class PB, FREMANTLE Class PB, ARMIDALE Class PB, HUON Class Mine Hunter, BAY Class Mins Sweeper and ISLAND Class PB.

USS WILLIAM F. HALSEY and carrier that never was.   The USN intended to build these as a small cost effective helo carrier, however never made it past the drawing board.
