Thanks to all TF guys, like Russell French, for the excellent weekend at Wentworth, and I have to admire the "museum" quality models at anchor. Next time I want to see a fleet excercise. Difficult. (Ive tried it, it's like herding cats).
Here's my small 1/72 contribution, HMS Intrepid, model built 1993, and since then has been on display at a tourist site in Auckland. Model has a ballast railway track, to shift weight aft, to enable docking down, and allow 4 RC LCTs to swim away. Present owner wants to sell Intrepid.

Ahoy, mates:
I wish to contact Mr. Alan T. Senior, possibly of Scotland. He built a large RC model of the type 14 frigate HMS Keppel. I am curious whether he has drawings for this design or knows of a source for drawings of it.

Hi,
My name is Len Kool, and I was browsing the web looking for photos of HMCS Annapolis, and found the picture of the model by Geoff Eastwood. I served aboard the Annapolis from 1968 to 1970, and I've been looking for pictures everywhere. This model is beautiful, Geoff did a wonderful job! Geoff, if you read this, do you have any photos you could let me copy? Keep up the great work, and thanks to you and this site for making my day, and bringing back a lot of memories.

Your site is an inspiration, I have been a military modeller in 1/72 scale for many years and have often thought it would be nice to try something a little larger than the Airfix Vosper patrol boat, I would love to tackle a Type 21 or River Class Patrol Boat, but the selection of semi kits in this scale seem limited, some Type 42’s and 22’s, I am reluctant to switch to 1/96 scale, for which there seems to be almost limitless choice, and would like to pick your brains as to where it is possible to find fittings etc for modern navel subjects, any help would be very welcome.

Hi guys.
I have the curator of Blake Hall Museum, Ongar, Essex here with me in (England). What he doesn't know about the Royal Navy you can put in a matchbox. We would just like to compliment the guy who built the Cruiser HMAS Perth. We have similar size models over here of HMS Exeter, and HMS Encounter who fought with the Perth in the Battle of Java Sea. A lot of good men lost, your models are a fine tribute to their service and loss.

Hi, fantastic site with some great pics of your models, though would have liked to see more info on particular models. Im building a 1/72 scale model my self of H.M.A.S. Vampire after her modernisation refit, though still as she was when part of the second destroyer squadron and not as a training ship. If anyone is building or has built this ship or any of her sisters, i would love to hear some tips and photo's. At present i have completed the model up to the basic superstructure. Now comes the fun bit with all the detailing. Also i live in perth and am a member of one of the four marine modelling clubs here in the west, though am dissapointed with the focus of these clubs. Is there any suggestion of having a task force 72 fleet base west??

Well if anyone can help me out with my vampire or would like to see some pics of her, please contact me via email on 'feltcher_8@hotmail.com' cheers And thanks again for producing such a great site, especially since its from us here in the land of oz.

Thanks for the excellent NSW Regatta shots. I just recently sent my application your way, and I'm looking forward to becoming a member!

Read in your page that Task Force 72 DOES have some members from the U.S. (I live in Ohio, by the way) but that as of yet, no actual U.S. chapter exists. maybe we can change that. Meanwhile, perhaps in the time it takes me to complete my 1/72 scale U.S.S. Intrepid (CVS-11), I can (hopefully) save enough money to take the trip out to New South Wales for the annual meet!

Thanks, and keep-up the great work!

This is the best Modelling web site I've seen. It certainly addresses a wide nationallity of model warships. most American sites only believe that they have the only navy as no foreign ships usually apear (unless they may be of japanese origin (ex WWII). The UK sites do have some of our "colonial ships" but you have them all. I have been constructing (ovet the past 14 years) a 1/96th scale model of HMAS Vendetta, as built 1959. an she is neering completion with the help of some fittings from Wooden Warships' Charles Baxter. He (charles) has convinced me that my next project should be at 1/72nd scale and it will be the HMAS Swan as Built 1969. I am an old ex-RAN sailer and my first ship was Vendetta and my last was the FFG HMAS Adelaide. I have not seen a model warship club here in Western Australia (Perth) although I have come across only 2 model ship clubs, which have some warship components.

Keep up the Good Work

I am building a 1/50 russian corvette Nanuchka III, with "originals" russian plans, etc. in brass and fibre glass, and CAD 3D solutions....
