Well, from the look of the weather on
Friday, it was not going to be a good weekend, but how wrong can we be!
It ended up hot and fine for most of the
weekend and what a fun time it was. It took the
Executive of the Association to "fly the flag" for TF72 over the weekend
with just Ron Rosenberg and Russ French attending. Oh well,
more free beer for the two of us. (yes, they put on drinks and nibblies
each afternoon for all those displaying their wares!). There was
no clash for frequencies either, so we ran for approximately 3 hours
each day non-stop in crystal clear waters and with a captive audience.
We got a chance to have a good look at some of the amazing pleasure
craft for sale and on display at the marina. What a
collection of beautiful vessels with some valued at well over $1m.
Thanks to Ron for coming up each day even thought
he wasn't in the best of health and also to Richard Wolf and Paula
McGowan of Dalbora Marinas for their help with getting us up there and
looking after us.
Don't worry if you missed out, we will have
another day up there soon.
